My rating *****

Well, there is not much we know about the author of this great book. This is a very moving, terrifying at times story about a fifteen year old girl who struggles with basically everything in her life, from image issues to mental instability. What starts of as an innocent and unintentional drug use becomes a shocking reality. The main character, Alice, like million of other teenagers quickly becomes a part of the drug scene.

When i think about it, this book reminds me of "Candy" by Kevin Brooks. Both stories describe the world that we all live in. Alice, struggles with a drug abuse on top of regular problems that young people deal with. As well as Candy, Alice needs help to stop. However, in her case she doesn't have someone like Joe.

This is a story that will literally make the hair on your back stand. You feel for her, you feel a need to help that poor girl. Once you start reading it, you won't be able to put the book down till it's over. Definitely something worth reading.
